We went for lots of rides in Kezzie’s new red wagon.
We played with a beach ball on a windy day. (the poor beach ball “broke”)
We read lots and lots of books. Kezzie often gets up from her naps and brings books into her bed. Wonder where she gets that habit from?
We picked out our own clothes.
Look what Auntie Jenny gave Kezzie.
We snuggled up with fun towels after bubble baths.
We even took time to cover up baby brother with our play picnic blanket.
What have you been doing since I’ve been otherwise occupied?
Lovely photos, lovely memories in the making at this very special time. Axxx

I’m sorry you are having a problem commenting, Marilyn. I hope it isn’t with WordPress. I am glad you got your comment written though so I can say thank you. I promise I won’t post the other 350 pictures of my grandkids, though.

Kezzie is becoming quite the young lady, what beautiful pictures! I love her taste in clothes and some of her expressions are just priceless. I’m sure you must be exhausted, Penny, but: what a day. Wonderful. Lucky Kezzie to have such a Yia-Yia.

Thank you, Kate. Aren’t those socks something? This was her second outfit of the day. Oh yes, dear Kate, I”m a bit tired, but was glad to be of some help for a bit, and know that there are other grandparents and relatives who will be enjoying it all too. Life is grand.

Dear Penny, Judith Viorst’s book “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” is one of my favorite books. I’ve given it to several young children in the family. And I’m not surprised at all–with the Yia-Yia she has–that Kezzie is reading it too! Peace.

Isn’t it a wonderful book, Dee? I gave a copy to a grown-up friend once. She was having a particularly rough couple of days and the book made her smile. I’d like to take credit for Kezzie’s reading, but, her mom and dad have fostered this (though I like to pretend that the gene pool has something to do with it)

Delightful photos, Penny. I used to read in my bed like Kezzie. Threw the books over the side one by one as I ‘finished’ them. 🙂

Aha, Andra, Kezzie does the same thing. Actually, I’ve been known to have a book two on the bedside floor myself – and I’m an adult. tee hee

What beautiful photos, and what a loving relationship you and Kezzie have. Doing such fun things together, rides, cooking, bathing, dressing, playing. Isn’t it wonderful when a little child loves her books so much, from an early age? I love the bath towel photo. She must have been so happy to have her Yia Yia there.

Oh, it is wonderful to see a child loving books, Juliet. You and I are totally in sync on that count. She just loves being wrapped up in her bath towel with her mom or dad singing a special little song to her. I know I was so happy to be there.

She looks like she needs that book, doesn’t she Janet? She was actually happy. The camera just caught her so and it fit in with the book’s title (one of my favorite books). It is wonderful and I thank you.

What fun you had with Kezzie and Ezra. They are beautiful. The mismatched socks are right in style! All of the girls in Junior High are wearing them. They even sell them that way! I am so glad you had that time with the Grands and I know you are looking forward to taking many more.

I’d heard that this is the new fad for middle school girls. Hmmm. Maybe Kezzie is on to something. Now I know what to do with all my mismatched socks. Of course, everyone will just think I’m an eccentric granny.
Thank you, Janet. It was fun and I’m looking forward to next time. Tom is on his way home and Kezzie and Ezra’s Nana is heading up for her turn with the Grands.

I wasn’t too available yesterday, Penny, but I don’t now how I missed this. I was looking for you, as I was sure you were going to post about your family! 🙂 What truly precious photos and I’m sure you have hundreds more! Kezzie is really growing up quickly, isn’t she? I love the picking out her own clothes! Covering little Ezra with the picnic blanket is so cute, too. I know that whether reading or baking muffins or just being close to help smooth the way for Ezra’s entry into the family, every minute you spent was special. I wonder how soon you’ll be making another trip! I’m sure you’re already thinking about that. I’m so glad you shared the photos, and hope you’ll share more when you get the chance. Debra

I posted a little later in the day, Debra. Besides, you are most welcome any time you stop by. It was, indeed, a special time – and I have about 300 photos to show for it.! Hopefully, in a few weeks. We’ll see how it goes. Nana is on her way up there now for her grandmother time. She’s been patiently waiting.
Speaking of muffins, a friend mentioned a book, that I ran out for yesterday (KATY, IF YOU ARE READING, STOP RIGHT HERE) for the book If You Give a Moose a Muffin by Laura Numeroff. She’s written quite a few books, including If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Have your granddaughters read them? They are so much fun – you must.
