Double Trouble

Double, double toil and trouble;

Fire burn and caldron bubble.

Fillet of a fenny snake,

In the caldron boil and bake;

Here’s looking at you kid!

Phyllis came in from the parking lot of a restaurant where we were meeting for lunch. Did I see the red Thunderbird? We  just had to leave our waffles and potato pancakes for a minute to run out and take some pictures. You know – girls just wanna have fun!

As we dashed out of Juicy-O, camera in hand, Phyllis and I giggling, she said we didn’t have this much fun in high school.

One of the waitresses said she has seen it before and thought the T-bird  belonged to the owner of the hair salon. Really. Would I make these things up?

The manager came to our table when we got back in and apologized that our food was taking so long. The staff forgot to turn on the waffle iron. Ha! I know what they were up to; watching two granny’s run out, purses dangling, chirping like chipmunks scampering for the last fallen acorn.

No matter. The waffle was on the house.

They even brought out a plate of fresh fruit.

My eyelashes are still growing in from my cataract surgery. Wonder if . . .

. . . nah. I don’t have a red dress!
