Blogging. It takes us everywhere at instantaneous speed; a button is hit, a few keys are tapped, and, voila, we are visiting in England or Canada, France or Belgium, or New Zealand, where Joan resides and sits at her keyboard and presses “send” just as we are waking up here in the US. It is winter in NZ and night as I tap these computer keys. Joan and I have never met, except through this atmospheric medium called the blogosphere. I would like you to meet her as well.
Joan wrote a post for all us here in America celebrating our country’s birth, and she drew a delightful “doodle” to send us a greeting. Please take a moment at visit her here or sempiterna-me.blogspot.com/ to read it. Be sure to click on her doodle so you don’t miss all the wonderful swirls and angles and words. If you have time on this busy weekend, click onto to her banner, Sempiterna Me, and learn a bit about her island nation – and see some more of her delightful doodles.
Thank you, Joan, from your American friends.
I LOVED her doodle! Thanks so much for sharing the link.

Agreed, the doodle was great and looks like something you’d have printed and hiding amongst books somewhere in the den.

Wasn’t it though? Go back and look at the one she did on a bad hair day.

Isn’t she interesting. Her doodles are great and there is often so much more to them that one first sees. I love the 4th of July. I’ll love it even more when I get our house straightened up for our guests tomorrow.

So lovely to be led to your blog through Joan’s one – a bit of reverse traffic from the others! I feel an affinity with your lovely observations and photos. My blog is http://www.seasonalinspiration.blogspot.com and I’d love you to take a look. Yes, it’s wonderful to make these connections across the world and to find others who are observing the natural world with wonder. Happy July 4 to you.

I clicked onto your blog before answering here and will definitely spend more time reading about all that inspires you. We have a great deal in common. I love you description of walking in the rain and the rainbows at your back. My kind of moments.
I am truly enjoying learning about New Zealand, which I, sad to say, do not know much about. What great fun to learn of it first hand from you and Joan and others. Thank you.
