What does a young gal do after a day of turkey and stuffing, sweet potatoes and cranberry relish, mashed potatoes and her very first taste of pumpkin pie?
She goes for a walk in the sunshine, of course.

So many images rolled into one simple snapshot, Penny — family…sunshine…family…lovely turquoise…family…those beautiful golden curls…an angelic face…and so much love.

I hadn’t thought of all those things, Karen, and I’m so glad you did. It is a lot rolled into one, especially family. Thank you.

So sweet. She will probably always love being outside because of her early experiences. I agree with Karen above.Beautiful post and combination of images.

Thanks, Janet. I hope she will. Kezzie loves to go “out” and will eagerly bring her shoes, their whomever she wants to take her, then coats and just wait to go. Love it and hope she always loves the outdoors.

Dear Penny,
What a bright future for Kezzie. What I mean by that is not only does she like to walk/exercise, but she is eager to engage others–you, especially, I bet–in her ramblings!
And yes, I did like the book and now I’m checking out from the library one by Lois Lenski. Thanks for telling me about her.
Peace

What a little darling she is, and what marvellous tasty memories she is building up. The family traditions are being passed on – such richness of heritage. I trust that the turkey survived the ride home and was absolutely delicious, along with all the trappings.

Thank you, Juliet. She is a sweet blessing. Yes, the turkey, and I, arrived home safely and we all ate well.

Oh how precious! Your little Kezzie is reason for your personal “thanksgivings” every day, no doubt! What treasured times. I loved the reference to her first taste of pumpkin pie. Did she like it? What makes me smile the most is that this little girl had loved ones surround her just to watch her eat the first taste of pumpkin pie! I’d encourage you to treasure each moment, but I know you already do. I’m so glad you shared this! Debra

She is, indeed, Debra. Oh yes, she liked her first taste of pumpkin pie and was rather indignant when her mommy said no more and kept saying “pie, pie”. Indeed, each and every moment is a treasure. Thank you, Deb.

What a sweetheart! Nothing more wonderful than celebrating “firsts” with a precious grandchild. We did that over 20 years ago with our grown grands — thinking of that now …. THAT makes me feel as old as I am.
