Along with the usual chaos of life here on the Cutoff, we have been experiencing a series of problems with our internet provider for several days with intermittent to no service. We seem to be back online for the time being, but service is hesitant at best.
I’m hoping to get a post in soon, but, until then, stay cool if you are in the heat, dry if you are amongst the raindrops, and safe wherever you are.

It’s either the drought, Japanese Beetles, or politicians. I am currently blaming everything on those things. It works for me.

Works for me, too. Now that you mention them, I haven’t seen too many Japanese beetles yet. Maybe they munched little lacy holes on the cable wires and caused all this fuss °°˚º°º˚00OO!

I’m with Janet, though not necessarily in that order! 🙂 And it surely doesn’t help that the ISP is more than ready to accept your contracted dollars, for what is sometimes less than a stellar return! Stay cool (however you choose to interpret that word)!

I’m trying, Karen. I’m trying. We are up and running right now and will wait and see if we continue to have service. I understand if there is a major power outage due to bad weather, which a good part of this area had, but we didn’t lose power or have any damage. Surprisingly, we are getting credit for the days it has been off.

Don’t like, Penny. I hope everything gets sorted soon, and you are cooler and wetter where you are.

Incidentally, I always appreciate these posts, because I wonder about people when they suddenly disappear. Glad you are otherwise ok.

Thanks, Andra. We are cooler and less humid, but dry as a bone hereabouts. The crops and farmers and, in the end, all of us will feel this for some time to come.

It’s nearly impossible to stay dry over here in wet Ireland! But I’m glad to know you’re ok. You’re so prolific with your blogging that a couple days missed and I’m wondering if you’re alright! Good luck with your technical difficulties and hopefully the weather over there will calm down now!

It’s nice to know you are thinking of me, Janet. Today, all was working. Hope it stays this way and I’m back to posting soon. We had the garden walk Sunday and the weather broke just for it. Still no rain, but it is cooler for now. I don’t think this is over, but the reprieve has been appreciated.

So far, so good, Debra. We are hoping service continues as others in the neighborhood have their problems corrected. As Roseanna Anna Danna would say, “it’s always something”.
