When to go out, my nurse doth wrap
Me in my comforter and cap;
The cold wind burns my face, and blows
Its frosty pepper up my nose.

Thank you, Janet. He’d just woken up from a nap, having slept through church, and the sun was kissing his face. RLS’s “A Children’s Garden of Verses” almost always has a few appropriate lines, even though they were written so long ago.

What a gorgeous wee fellow. I love the red hat, the blue eyes, and the poem to go with that dear little face. It must be so cold for a little one, but I am sure he is warmed by abundant love.

Thank you, Juliet. He was bundled up from the cold and is much loved and cared for. I caught him just as he was waking after sleeping through Sunday’s service.
