Have you ever noticed how ferns unfurl? They poke through the ground with great determination, all eager to catch the sunshine. Their fronds appear, all nestled in curves like question marks that seem to hug each other like young love in spring, wondering what life will bring.
I’m off on a bit of jaunt in the jalopy with my favorite frond as we share a spot of time to celebrate our 40th anniversary.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. If you behave, when I come back in a day or two, maybe I’ll tell you how to be a bee spotter.
Fortieth anniversary!!!! Congratulations both!!! What a great weekend this is. Have a wonderful jaunt, and love to you both from all of us Shrewsdays. I have never met either of you but feel I know you so well. xxx

We did have a wonderful jaunt; the jalopy held up and we had a pleasant retreat at a place called Starved Rock. I hope to share some pictures soon.
Oh, Kate. I feel the same about all of the Shrewsdays! Thank you.

Thank you, Perpetua. It was short, but very lovely, doing some trekking in some mighty fine scenery. I think it is Ruby here as well. I settled for shooting stars (flowers) on the forest floor, which we so beautiful.
