I don’t think you’ve shared Tasha Tudor’s beautiful work for awhile, Penny. This floral heart is a little different and I don’t think I would have recognized it as coming from her. It’s very nice! I hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day with your special guy!

This is the cover of a lovely book of hers, Debra: “All For Love”. It is filled with poems and stories, songs and Valentine traditions, and, of course, her iconic illustrations. Isn’t it a beautiful floral? Tasha Tudor’s work always brings me home.
You too, Debra – and enjoy your get-away weekend.

I have this book too and it’s so beautiful. I’m off to go and locate it now 🙂

Thank you, Carol. You made my day (well, actually my evening). You are so nice to say this and are quite welcome. Thank you for reading and for commenting today.
Isn’t it a beautiful book? One of my favorites of Tasha Tudor’s, though, really, they all all. This one is chock full of all that love is, from romantic love to family love, and, well, you know as you have it as well. I hope that by now you have found All For Love and have been enjoying it.

I haven’t seen this before and always love anything from sweet Tasha. Sounds like a very special book. The heart wreath is so “springy” with the pastels. I felt like you would find the perfect message and the quote is spot-on.
Am sure your Valentine’s day with Tom will be memorable as all days are with the one we love and share our joys and sorrows. Best wishes!

Thank you, Marilyn. We share our admiration of Tasha Tudor, I know, and this one is quite special. It was originally printed with a different cover, but, the contents are the same. It is full of quotes and poems about love of all kinds, and has some excerpts of stories, songs, and crafts. If you have seen “Take Joy”, it is similar, only Valentine’s Day instead of Christmas.
It was a lovely Valentine’s Day and I hope yours was as well, Marilyn.

I was enfolded in such love, Juliet, and hope you were as well. Ours was perfectly simple and good.
This is the cover of the book, “All For Love”, and is a delightful book. I pull it out each February and something or other calls to me, differently each year.

I lived in WA for many years, and my youngest son and his wife live just outside Stanwood, so I’m quite familiar with that phrase, “Uff da.” 🙂

I saw your comment yesterday, Karen, and then spent some time at the link to all things wonderful in Stanwood and, well, forgot to come back. Honestly, I’m so easily distracted.
Thank you. I would love Stanwood, and would be forever lost in the book store and coffee shops and shops. Uff da. I’m pleased you picked up on that phrase. It’s funny, but, after turning the pages of all four books in this Red River series, I’ve caught myself saying Uff da a few time lately.

Oh, beautiful. I wonder if there is a new version for each new human being created; and wonder at the chance I was given to experience the distinct version which has been my lot in life.

Dear Penny, I hope your Valentine’s Day was filled with the romance of being with the special someone you chose so many years ago. My understanding from married friends is that love can deepen and that there is a romance of growing older together and making discoveries to share and delight in.
I so like the quotation you used. I’ve never known romantic love but I’ve been so loved in my lifetime by my family and so many wonder friends and I’ve loved them in return and so I think I have learned that love is many faceted and the light of relationship hits those facets so that they shine in many different ways, but at its center, love is One. Peace.

Thank you, Dee. It was quiet and nice, with pizza and the rare treat of ice cream in a favorite little restaurant near here.
There are so many kinds of love; romantic love is one of them and yes, for us, it has deepened and grown in many ways, but, I chose this quote, which was new to me, because it so beautifully reminds us of the many, many kinds of love; of parents and siblings and friends, favorite aunts, even our cats. I appreciate how well you have said this in saying that “love is many faceted”.
I hope you are feeling better, Dee, and that the Meniere’s has abated.
