I just read it’s 75 days until the first day of Spring. It feels like a year away.

Yea! It does feel like a long time, doesn’t it, but, we have turned a corner and the days are getting a wee bit longer – though I write this on a day with sub-zero temperatures and a snowstorm heading our way. I’ll be like Scarlett O’Hara and worry about that tomorrow. 🙂

Happy New Year Penny! I visited the botanical gardens here just before Christmas and did a quick (though cold) walk through the gardens and they look much the same! I took a few photos and should share mine as well!

Thanks, Danielle. You too. 🙂
I hope you do show your photos of your botanical gardens. They always hold secrets of summer, these gardens in winter. I spent a few minutes in a conservatory this afternoon. Brief as it was, it was rejuvenating.

You will be missed, dear friend. And we will have so much to catch up on—such as Season 5 of Downton Abbey! Take care.

Oh, dear Marilyn, we do have a lot to catch up on. I am actually still here, just without the internet all weekend. I braved the snow and went to a Starbucks yesterday. Hope to “talk” about Downton Abbey sometime this week and will be interested in your thoughts. Cold here today with snow coming. brrr.

I wonder if trees dream of spring? Winter landscapes are beautiful in their austerity. Your Copper Beech will wait for you, I’m sure! 🙂

What an intriguing thought, Debra. I think they must. Surely, they must. (too much Downton Abbey 🙂 ) Hope all is well with you and Jay.

Sorry to say it doesn’t, Karen. My daughter sent these. Great to have the photos, but, really miss them, especially right now. We will see them soon.
You too, Karen. Stay warm. Cold here with snow coming, though you have had your share already.
