Juliet, you have been on my mind these past few days as we have seen and heard reports of the earthquake and destruction in New Zealand. It seems like just a few years ago when there was a devastating quake in Christchurch. Please know my thoughts and prayers are coming your way. If these words gave you even a small measure of comfort right now, then they were worth copying here. Peace to you and to yours.

Thank you Penny, this earthquake has affected us all, even though in Auckland we weren’t shaken, fortunately.

As we’ve discussed before, I’ve always preferred prose, but this, particularly with your gorgeous photo, is lovely, Penny.

It certainly wasn’t, Nan. I’m sure our own troubled times evoked Yeats’ words.

Just the right thing for me to ponder as a dear friend is seriously ill. Once again, I came here and you comforted me. You seem to just “know” what to say that fits. Thank you.

I am sorry to hear of you friend, Marilyn. It is hard to watch our friends suffer. If memory serves me correctly, you mentioned this some time ago. It is good that this poem gave you some comfort. I’m glad to hear that, and send prayers your way for your friend – and for you.

I really, really needed this today, Penny, as I approach the close of a challenging week. I also have been very, very weary.

I am glad that you read this just when you needed it, L. Marie. I hope you are nearing the end of those challenges and can only imagine the time and energy it is taking. It is interesting, but, in your mention I realize that I have been weary as well. Peace.
