. . . there is one I forgot to mention in my recent bookish post.
I recently received a nice little congratulatory message from WordPress acknowledging the 10th anniversary of Lifeonthecutoff.
How did 10 years go by so quickly?
From my first tentative, picture less maiden voyage, to the arrival grandchildren, illness and losses, woodland walks, flower arranging, poetry, prose and my many, er, “falls from grace”, you have been a treasured and appreciated part of this journey. Whether you were there on my first post, or just started following me today, thank you, one and all, for wandering along this road called life with me.
The one book I forgot, and pictured above, was my Christmas gift last year from Katy, Tom, Kezzie and Ezra. I was as touched as I was thrilled when I received it and enjoy going back in time in my first published book.
Life is grand!
What a lovely gift!

Thank you so much, Janet. I appreciate your words here and I appreciate your support of this little endeavor. I do remember your kids doing this one Christmas. You brought it to show me – at the Chocolate Moon. It was beautifully done and I’m sure you treasure it.

Happy Blog Anniversary, Penny! 10 years is quite a milestone. So happy that I found your blog several years ago. It remains my favorite blog (with the possible exception of my own, lol.) I’m green with envy over that thoughtful gift from your relatives.

Thanks so much, Sue. I’m happy we’ve discovered each other and appreciate your friendship. I feel the same about your blog – though I have had trouble posting comments. I may need to change my password. Sigh.
It was such a delightful surprise and a book that I will cherish. (this is our Up North daughter and her family).

Thank you, Donna. I was as amazed at 10 years passing as I was at receiving this book. It is the first year or two, back when I wrote just about every day. Yikes.

How lovely, Penny! Such a lovely and thoughtful gift, and although I don’t think anyone in my brood would think of such a thing, I might have to do it for myself. LOL! I’m sure it would be fun to go back and capture those initial posts. I’n so glad you shared it with us. 🙂

It took me by surprise, Debra, and I was touched that they thought of it. You might want to look into it. This is the first 12/16 months or so, which was when I was posting just about every day, and includes all the pictures I had posted. The gifting was so thoughtful, and I can only imagine the hours involved putting this together primarily by my dear son-in-law.
