“I thank you God for this most amazing day,
for the leaping greenly spirits of trees,
and for the blue dream of sky and
for everything which is natural,
which is infinite,
which is yes.”
e.e. cummings
Snow and cold are heading this way, but, for now, it is a “blue dream” day,
and so I will share some blue skies I have found
and be grateful.
May they always be infinite.
Yes?
I am grateful for your blue skies because I have not seen many since returning to West Clare! Lovely photos and poem Penny 🙂

I’m sure your blue skies will be returning, Janet – and they are so lovely – but, must be a bit of a disappointment after your long trip. Thank you.

Thank you, Janet. We are enjoying the sunshine a bit warmer temps right now. Looks like maybe the worst of the storm might pass us by (one never knows), but, looks like you might be getting some of that snow. Hope it won’t be too bad. Hang tight.

One of my favorite quotes! I love your blue skies. Everything is wet and squishy and more rain and thunderstorms are looming. I’m weary. I’ve got a mini rose that needs potting, but I hate putting her thru the shock.

I’m weary as well. This winter has seemed endless and grey, though today’s sunshine was welcome. Here’s to the cay you can finally plant that mini rose. Thank you.

What an uplifting theme Penny. I love the way you use a poem as a springboard and then take off! Thank you.

I can feel the weariness of winter lifted from your shoulders, Penny! Such a wonderful poem and paired with your beautiful photos it’s hard to believe that you’ll have any more winter weather coming your way, but if you do I’m glad you soaked in as much cheer as you could find! I hope this lovely weather takes you all the way through a happy weekend, Penny!

Thank you, Debra. Unfortunately, more winter weather is in the mix for the next few days. It is a bit easier to bear with the joy of some flowers and knowing we’ve turned a corner. I think the founding mothers of garden clubs, especially in climates such as mine, purposely planned these luncheons and gatherings at this time of year to help us all with the last month of winter weather. 🙂 That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.
Enjoy your weekend, Debra.

Thankful for every blue sky day — even though they are “the usual” for us nowadays. But I well remember the extra gratitude when blue skies were a rare gift this time of year.

I envy you your usual blue sky days, Sallie, especially this time of year up here. This winter has been particularly grey and gloomy, but, spring is about to, well SPRING. 🙂 These blue sky days were truly dreamy.

Dear Penny, the sky is so gorgeous that I wish I could open my mouth and swallow it’s beauty to enhance my soul!
I read your other postings, ones I’d missed, about the grandchildren. They are such a delight. They are blessed to have you just as they are a blessing in your life. Peace.

Thank you, Dee. I appreciate you stopping by and reading, and I especially appreciate your kind comments about the grandchildren – blessings, indeed.
As I write this, late afternoon, those blue, blue skies have once again become grey – but, hope is on the horizon. Peace, Dee.

Weary is an apt word.. hope we all are on the cusp of a year’s sweeter times. By the way, I found that somewhere along the way, “Relax” had unFollowed this ‘blog. It was likely my electronic equipment — it was 100% unintentional! I look forward to catching up here later!

Looks like “weary” will continue for a bit longer with more cold weather hereabouts. I’m always happy when you visit and know, only-too-well, how computers sometimes have a will of their own. Happy Easter.

Thank you, Nicola. We are having similar weather here, though I parts of the UK have had much more snow than here. I hope your Easter was nice in spite of the cold.
